Embassy Suites Downtown-Pioneer Square, Seattle, WA
Thursday, May 17, 2018
9:15 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Event Overview: Our industry is moving aggressively from fee-for-service to risk-based payment models. Inflammatory conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis (RA) are particularly in focus, as they are among the top three most costly conditions for specialty drugs. Specialty drug spend is expected to more than quadruple by 2020, presenting tremendous cost challenges for employers, payers, providers and patients. As value-based reimbursement is implemented to address this, we must adapt quickly to the future of tying cost to quality for improvement and accountability.
You are invited to join us, as we discuss current challenges and opportunities, as well as what we must do to prepare for and help shape these new payment models.
This WRA Payer Forum Event represents the capstone to our Washington Learning Collaborative Initiative. Join rheumatologists and their administrators, as well as primary care and insurance representatives, for what will be very productive and informative day in Seattle. Rheumatology is paving the way in managing the right care for the right patient, with the right treatment, at the right time. It’s time to demonstrate value together!
We encourage rheumatologists and their practice employees along with insurance company representatives, pharmaceutical companies and health system administrators to attend this exciting event which represents the capstone to our 2017-18 Learning Collaborative. The Learning Collaborative participating practices will be honored for their work and will have the opportunity to report on the impact of the Collaborative. The luncheon program will engage a variety of stakeholders in conversation around implications and applications of the Collaborative results.
